How It Works

Setting Up My Account

  • Click on "Create an Account"
  • Enter your first and last name and email account as your User Name
  • Create a password - minimum of 8 characters, at least 1 upper case, and at least 1 number
  • Password confirmation - enter the same thing you put on the first password line.
  • Click on "Register"
  • Enter Credit Card information
  • Click on "Log In"
  • Note: Allow the app access to your location (without this, the app will not be able to give you suggested addresses and reduce time typing)

Logging In

  • Enter the email address you use as your Username
  • Enter your password then click on "Log In"
  • If you can't remember your password, click on "Forgot Password" and a link will be forwarded to your registered email address
  • Access the link and provide a new password
  • Confirm password by entering it a second time

Creating My Tour

  • Click on "Create a Tour"
  • Add a name for your tour
  • Input the day of the tour
  • Click on "Next"
  • Click on "+ Add a Stop"
  • Enter the address of one of your showings (from your MLS search or other source). You can enter addresses in any order
    • You will notice, as you type, the app provides recommended matches (if you chose to let the app access your location)
  • The address comes up with an icon next to it - tap on the icon next to the address to add the address to your tour
  • Continue adding stops until they are all added into the tour.
    • NOTE: The app holds up to 10 addresses for your tour
  • ALWAYS click on "Save" before exiting, otherwise your tour will be lost. You can access the tour any time to add stops if you need to by editing

Optimizing My Tour

  • When creating a tour, before saving, click on "Map It!"
  • The app gives you three options to optimize your tour:
    1. Use existing order - use the order you have input the addresses into the tour.  If you click on "Use Existing Order" you will be returned to the tour page with no changes to the route order you entered
    2. Give me a smart route using my starting point - If you click on this option, your first address will remain as the first stop on your tour -  all other addresses will be arranged to optimize your tour
    3. Give me a smart route using my starting and ending points - If you click on this option, your beginning stop and ending stop remain the same, all stops between will optimize for the best route.
      1. NOTE: You can re-arrange any stop by simply holding it down and moving it to any location you would like

Saving My Tour

  • Enter all of your addresses into the tour
    • NOTE: The app holds up to 10 addresses for your tour
  • Before closing, it is critical that you click on "Save" in the upper Right Corner of the app, if you don't you will lose the tour.
  • Your tour will be saved in your listings of tours by tour date
  • To access the tour, click on the tour from the listing

Accessing A Saved Tour

  • Click on the listing icon in the upper Right Corner of the app
  • Tours are sorted by date of tour and identifiable by the "Tour Name"
  • Scroll down through your tours to find the tour you are seeking
  • Click on the tour to view
  • Click on the Pencil Icon in order to edit/change the tour in any way
  • Click on the "Trash Can" icon in order to delete the tour
  • Remember to "Save" if you make any changes

Scheduling My Tour

  • Click on the List Icon in the Upper Right corner of the app
  • Determine the tour start time
  • Call the contact number for the showing
  • Request showing appointment at determined start time
  • When showing appointment is confirmed, click on the Edit Icon (pencil in the upper right corner)
  • Click on "Add Time Slot" and use the roller to set a start time
  • Click on "End Time" and use the roller to set a projected end time for the tour of that particular home
  • Click on "Close" (upper left corner)

 

With the time you have scheduled with your first showing and the travel time, you know when to schedule your next showing.

For example: you set the tour of the first home to end at 1:15pm, and it takes 12 minutes to drive to the next house. You could schedule the next appointment for 1:30pm.

 

  • After scheduling your next showing, click on "Start Time" and "End Time"
  • If you have to change the order of any of the showings on your tour, press and hold the address then you will be able to move it up or down to the location you need it. Click on "Map It!" and click on "Use Existing Order" to get the time between stops adjusted for the change
  • Continue scheduling and entering times until complete
  • Click on "Save" in Upper Right corner to Save your tour with the assigned times.

Sharing My Tour

When your tour has been created and saved, the app will show the Tour Name, the Map, and right below the Tour Name, "Share Itinerary"

 

  • Click on "Share Itinerary"
  • Determine your method of sharing. You can use:
    • Message - text to you client, your assistant, anyone you would like to share the tour with
    • Mail - email your client, your assistant, anyone you would like to share the tour with
    • Facebook - share your itinerary on social media
    • More... your selection
  • Click on the Icon for message, mail, etc. and follow appropriate guidelines for that media

Starting My Tour

Scheduled tours show up on the days they are scheduled - if you have a scheduled tour today, it will appear when you open Mapping My Tour

 

  • Click on the first address on your tour
  • The address shows up on the mapping application of your device
  • Follow the mapping instructions to direct you to the address
  • To go to the next stop of your tour, you will have to return to Mapping My Tour and click on the next stop

Adding Mileage

You can track mileage separate from/or with your tours. To track mileage, click on "+ Add Mileage" from the home screen or at the bottom of a tour

 

  • Click on "Beginning Miles" when starting your tour
  • Enter the mileage on your vehicle odometer
  • Click on "Save" in the Upper Right corner
  • "This Day's Mileage" indicates 0 miles
  • When your trip is over and you know your ending mileage, click on the "0 Miles"
  • Again, click on the "0 Miles" - enter the ending mileage from your vehicle's odometer
  • Enter "Notes" about your tour
    • you can add the name of your tour, clients name, or any information you need for taxes
  • Click on "Save" in the Upper Right corner

 

You Will see your total mileage on "This Day's Mileage". What if you do another tour or meeting on the same day?

 

  • Click on "+ Add Mileage"
  • Click on "Beginning Miles" when starting your tour or leaving for your meeting
  • Enter the mileage on your vehicle odometer
  • Click on "Save" in the Upper Right corner
  • "This Day's Mileage" will indicate the total of miles previously entered for the day
  • When your is over and you know your ending mileage, click on the number of miles that have been recorded for the day
  • Click on the "0 Miles"
  • "Click on Ending Miles" - enter your ending mileage from your vehicle's odometer
  • Enter "Notes" about your tour
    • you can add the name of your tour, clients name, or any information you need for taxes
  • Click on "Save" in the Upper Right corner

 

You will see your total mileage for the day on "This Day's Mileage". You can add as many trips as you need and just keep adding mileage

 

The mileage tracker will track all your mileage, even if you aren't doing a tour - if you need to track your mileage for your job Mapping My Tour will do it for you

Managing My Account

In the app, you can do the following:

 

  • Open Mapping My Tour
  • Click on the profile icon in the Upper Right corner
  • You can select
    • My Account
    • Export Mileage
    • Logout
  • Click on "My Account"
  • You can:
    • Change your name
    • Change Password
    • Review your Subscription
    • Update your Card
    • or Cancel - Really? Why would you want to do that?
  • When you are done - click on "Close" in the Upper Left corner

Updating Card Information

Need to change your card information?

 

  • Open Mapping My Tour
  • Click on the profile icon in the Upper Right corner
  • Click on "My Account"
  • Review your Subscription
  • Scroll down to "Subscription" and click on "Update Card"
  • Enter Credit or Debit Card Information
  • Click on "Update"
  • Click on "Close" in the Upper Right corner

 

When you are done - click on close in the Upper Left corner

Pulling Mileage Report

Need to pull your mileage?

 

  • Open Mapping My Tour
  • Click on the profile icon in the Upper Right corner
  • Click on "Export Mileage"
  • Enter the email account that you want the report to be sent to
  • Click "OK"
  • Check your email
  • When you get your email from "Mapping My Tour" double click on the attached CSV file
  • Your mileage report will open for you

 

Mapping My Tour is as easy as that!!

Forgot My Password

  • Enter your email address as your User Name
  • Click on "Forgot Password"
  • An email will be sent to your email address (used as your user name)
  • You will receive an email that includes a "Reset Password Notification"
  • Open the email
  • Click on the "Reset Password" link in the body of the email
  • Enter your new password on the first line
  • Re-enter your new password on the second line
    • Password criteria:
      • 8 to 18 characters in length
      • at least one uppercase character
      • at least one lowercase character
      • at least one number
  • Scroll down and click on "Reset"
    • You will receive a notice that lets you know - your change of password is successful!
  • Go back to the Mapping My Tour "Log In" - enter the new password
    • Click on "Log In"
